MOTU.com Frequently Asked Questions
MOTU.com is constantly changing to provide a more integrated and streamlined way to register, upgrade, and seek support for your MOTU products. This page tries to provide solutions to some of the issues visitors ask us about most often.
How do I sign up for a new MOTU.com account?
For access to MOTU.com members-only features, sign up for a free MOTU.com account. Enter your real name and a preferred "user name" for logging into the site, then enter an email address where we can send your signup confirmation. Our web server will immediately send a confirmation email with your temporary password.
Log in with the user name you chose, and the temporary password in your signup confirmation email. You'll be given an opportunity to choose a password that's easier for you to remember--but please choose one that's hard for others to guess. (For tips on choosing a secure password, see http://www.alw.nih.gov/Security/Docs/passwd.html.)
I signed up for a new MOTU.com account, but never got an email with my password in it.
Do you have an anti-spam program or filter in place, or does your ISP filter your email? Over 95% of the MOTU.com visitors who report this problem later find that the signup notification email got caught in their anti-spam filter.
To prevent this problem in the future, please be sure to add firstname.lastname@example.org to the "whitelist" on your spam filter, the list of senders who are always allowed to get through. If your ISP runs your anti-spam system, you may have to ask your ISP to do this.
Also note that the domain uol.com.br appears to be unable to receive email from any motu.com email address. If using a uol.com.br email address to join our website you will likely not be able to receive your password.

Registering a MOTU product does not automatically provide you with an account at MOTU.com. For access to MOTU.com members-only features, sign up for a free MOTU.com account.
I know I've registered MOTU products in the past, but when I log in now I don't see any products listed on my "My Registrations" page.
This is very likely because your login name has not yet been linked to your registrations. You can make this link by following the instructions shown on your "My Registrations" page or by sending further information to MOTU Customer Service via this form.
