I hear artifacts when previewing AudioSuite plug-ins
While previewing an AudioSuite effect, you can change the parameters in real-time.
Lowering Digital Performer's AudioSuite Buffer Size causes the preview to respond more quickly to these changes, but on slower computers a low buffer can sometimes produce artifacts. These artifacts will not affect the processed soundbite, only the real-time preview.
If you hear artifacts while previewing an AudioSuite effect, raise the AudioSuite Buffer (found under Setup menu > Configure Audio System > Other DAE Settings).
