Chronic System Freezes when running PCI-324 Console, AudioDesk or Digital Performer on a G3 Powerbook with a Magma PCI Expansion Chasis. The problem was traced to the energy saver features of the Laptop.

To correct symptoms: 1) Open Energy Saver Control Panel 2) Adjust settings for sleep, display dimming, and hard disk spindown to “never,” 3) Select “Advanced Settings” button (Important) 4) Deselect “Allow Processor Cycling”
