Frame Accurate Synchronization

Frame accurate sync is a form of synchronization where two signals are locked within one quarter frame. This means that at a frame rate of 30 frames per second events starting on the same frame will always be locked within 8.5 milliseconds of each other.

As an example, Digital Performer can be set to transmit MIDI Timecode through a MOTU MIDI interface to a DA-88 with the SY-88 Card. If the DA-88 is slaving to MTC from your MIDI interface you will achieve frame accurate sync.
