PCI-324 and PCI-424 Troubleshooting, Removing, Installing Drivers

Here are a few troubleshooting tips for our PCI-424 and PCI-324 systems:

  • Try every port on the card (there are 4 on the 424, 3 on the 324).
  • Try every PCI slot on your computer. If you have other PCI cards, try removing them before installing in case of potential conflict or interference.
  • Make sure the card is completely and securely in.
  • Make sure you are using our most current driver. You can download these in our Downloads section.

To remove and reinstall drivers:

  • If you are in OS9, goto Macintosh HD > System Folder > Extensions > MOTU and trash the extension, "MOTU PCI Audio Driver" before reinstalling.
  • If you are in OSX, goto Macintosh HD > System > Library > Extensions and trash the extension, "MOTUPCIAudio.kext" before reinstalling.
  • If you are in Windows OS, run the Add/Remove Programs to remove our software and registry entry, remove our hardware, and reinstall drivers.
