FireWire audio interfaces should be compatible with powered FireWire hubs. MOTU recommends connecting as few devices as possible to the hub. Connecting only the devices you need will help reduce any possible bandwidth issues.

If you have a Traveler or other bus-powered interface:
We recommend using a powered FireWire hub if you will be powering the Traveler via FireWire. Alternatively, you could power the Traveler with DC power or a battery pack. Please also see our tech notes on powering your Traveler via FireWire and DC adapter.
