How To Authorize DP Offline
Digital Performer's new authorization scheme allows for both online and offline authorization. If you are using Digital Performer on a computer without internet access, please follow these steps to authorize Digital Performer.
Please note, an internet connection is required to activate the Digital Performer demo.
Step 1.
Launch Digital Performer and enter your email address, name and key code as directed.
Step 2.
A Digital Performer Activation window will appear prompting you to save a challenge file or load a response file. Choose 'Save Challenge File.' You may save this file to any location on your hard drive.
Step 3.
Transfer the challenge file to a computer with an internet connection, and go to http://auth.motu.com. Here you will be able to upload your challenge file and then save a response file.
Step 4.
Transfer the response file back to the computer you wish to authorize Digital Performer on. Launch Digital Performer and enter your email address, name and key code once more.
Step 5.
A Digital Performer Activation window will again appear prompting you to save a challenge file or load a response file. This time choose 'Load Response File.' Use the file browser to locate the response file.
Once you have completed these steps Digital Performer will write the authorization to your hard drive and then continue on to the next stage of the startup process.
