828mkII Wins Top Honors at Frankfurt Musikmesse 2005 MIPA Awards

Consensus. It can be hard to achieve, especially in the pro audio industry. But there's one thing on which the editors from 58 industry trade publications agree: the 828mkII Firewire audio interface is the Best Recording I/O Device of 2004/2005.

Now it its sixth year, the Musikmesse International Press Award (MIPA) has become the "Grammy" of the Musical Instrument and Pro Audio industry. This year, the MIPA award ceremony took place on Thursday evening, April 7th, 2005 at the Musikmesse/Pro Light & Sound trade show in Frankfurt, Germany.

58 magazines from all over the world got together to vote for the best products of 2004/2005 in more than 40 categories. And the 828mkII walked away with top honors as the Best Recording I/O Device.

Robert Zildjian, the founder of Sabian, was also honored at the ceremony with the 2005 MIPA Lifetime Achievement Award.
