Every year, the readers of Mix magazine choose what they consider to be the best new pro audio products in a wide range of categories, from "Ancillary Equipment" to "Large Format Console Technology." The TEC Awards were established by Mix magazine in 1985 to honor outstanding achievement in the professional recording and sound production industry. The nominations are made by a panel of approximately 100 audio industry professionals. Qualified Mix subscribers will make the final determination via a ballot in the August 2005 issue.

The winners of the 21st Annual TEC Awards will be announced at a ceremony on Saturday, October 8, at the New York Marriott Marquis, on the second night of the AES Convention.
