A Universal Binary version of MX4, the multisynth virtual instrument, is now shipping in all supported formats (MAS, AU and RTAS)and is available for download here for registered users. Also now available for download are Universal Binary (Intel Mac) MAS versions of Ethno Instrument and Symphonic Instrument, allowing you to run all three of these MOTU virtual instruments natively on your Intel Mac in Digital Performer 5.1.

Symphonic Instrument 1.1 debuts at AES/New York

The 119th Audio Engineering Society (AES) convention is in full swing at the Javits Center in New York city, and MOTU (booth #354) is showing Version 1.1 of the Symphonic Instrument universal orchestra plug-in for Mac and Windows. Version 1.1 adds disk streaming and support for multiple independent outputs. It will be offered as a free update to all Symphonic Instrument plug-in users later this Fall.

MOTU Symphonic Instrument Debuts at NAMM 2005

NAMM show attendees thronged the MOTU booth to enjoy live performances by keyboard artist Jordan Rudess and LA-based Brad Vinikow. Both artists brought to life their distinctive style, Jordan with his technical wizardry and Brad with his distinctive "left coast" sound, as each performer stretched out in solo performances playing a brand new virtual instrument unveiled by MOTU in a worldwide debut at NAMM.
