In addition to numerous maintenance enhancements, several significant software updates add additional value to several MOTU interface lines.

Today Apple released Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion). MOTU is working with Apple to ensure current MOTU products are compatible with Lion, and to provide a smooth transition for your MOTU products when you upgrade to Lion. In most cases, current versions of your MOTU software and hardware drivers appear to be compatible with Lion, although final compatibility testing is still on-going. Do you own a mk3 FireWire audio interface or a MicroBook? Digital Performer 7.12 is now shipping. If you own Version 7, you can download the free Version 7.12 updater. This maintenance release includes expanded control surface and MIDI device configuration options, improved waveform overview construction, and more, as well as features and enhancements first introduced in DP 7.1 and earlier. Improved control surface configuration options enable the use of applications such as Saitara Software's AC-7 applications for iPhone and iPad.

Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard is due to ship on August 28th. To prepare for this major OS release, MOTU has worked closely with Apple to ensure a smooth transition for your MOTU products when you make the move to Snow Leopard. In most cases, current versions of your MOTU software have already been made forward-compatible with Snow Leopard, including support for Mac OS X's latest advances in multi-threading and multi-processor operation.
