My instrument plug-in doesn't work because d3d9.dll was not found
When launching MachFive, Symphonic Instrument, Ethno Instrument, or Electric Keys on Windows, if you receive a message like, "Unable To Locate Component. This application has failed to start because d3d9.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem," this means that a necessary DirectX file is missing. Go to microsoft.com to update to the latest DirectX.
