How do I find the version number of my MOTU hardware driver?
Mac OS X
Go to your system hard drive, then to /Library/Extensions. Select the appropriate file:
- USB MIDI: MOTU MIDI Driver.kext
- FireWire/USB Audio: MOTUFireWireAudio.kext.
- PCI Audio: MOTUPCIAudio.kext
Control-click it and choose "Get Info"; in the Info window, you'll find a line labeled "Version."
Windows
Go to your system hard drive, then \Windows\system32\drivers. Select the appropriate file:
- PCI Audio: motuaw.sys
- USB MIDI: motumidi.sys
- FireWire/USB Audio: motufwa.sys
Right-click it and choose "Properties." For Windows XP, under the Properties window "Version" tab, you'll find a line labeled "File Version"; for Windows Vista, under the Properties window "Details" tab, you'll find a line labeled "Product Version."
