MOTU demos from NAMM 2015

See MOTU at NAMM 2015

Booth crates are being unpacked and press releases primed, as MOTU and other companies prepare for the onslaught that is known as NAMM 2015, which commences on Thursday this week at the Anaheim Convention Center. MOTU (Hall A, booth 6410) will be running a full schedule of product demonstrations each day, featuring NEW products and special guest James Sizemore, the orchestrator and music programmer for the Hobbit film series. James will provide in-depth insight into how the music team, led by film composer Howard Shore, used Digital Performer to produce the epic music scores for the three Hobbit films.

Al Kooper visits MOTU at AES Show in New York

Musician, producer and composer Al Kooper made an appearance at the MOTU booth at the Audio Engineering Society (AES) show in New York City last week to give a one-hour presentation on his composing and production techniques using Digital Performer, MachFive and other MOTU products. Kooper played tracks in progress for his up-coming album and offered key insights into his creative process to a standing-room only crowd.

Symphonic Instrument 1.1 debuts at AES/New York

The 119th Audio Engineering Society (AES) convention is in full swing at the Javits Center in New York city, and MOTU (booth #354) is showing Version 1.1 of the Symphonic Instrument universal orchestra plug-in for Mac and Windows. Version 1.1 adds disk streaming and support for multiple independent outputs. It will be offered as a free update to all Symphonic Instrument plug-in users later this Fall.
