Fast 1x mode and Power Macs
Because of changes Apple made to the serial port architecture of new Power Macs, Fast 1x mode does not reliably work with the MTP, MTP II or MTP AV. If Fast 1x mode does not consistently work, you should switch to 1Mhz. Because computer processors are faster, even in a 1Mhz setting, you will rarely encounter MIDI log jam.
