What is the best way to use two monitors on my MAC?

For desktop macs, running two monitors on a dual head AGP card is the best way to do this. Most recent Desktop Macs have an AGP card with two discrete video outputs. If the monitors you're planning to use don't fit the 2nd slot, adapter can be used. Running a 2nd video card via PCI will not work as well and isn't recommended, especially if your audio interface is PCI based or if you use other high bandwidth PCI cards. Powerbooks include a 2nd video output too, which again can be adapted to fit most monitor types.
