DP 7.23 (or earlier DP 7.x versions) won't authorize on a Lion system

DP 7.23 (or earlier DP 7.x versions) won't authorize on a Lion system. If you attempt to do so with these versions, DP will keep asking you for your name and keycode, over and over again. This is due to an incompatibility introduced with Lion. To successfully authorize DP7 on a Lion system, you must do so with the DP 7.24 application and your DP7 installer CD as follows:

  1. Run an "Easy Install" using your DP 7.x installer CD (it can be any DP7 version).
  2. Download the 7.24 updater from motu.com.
  3. Run the 7.24 updater to install version 7.24.
  4. Insert your 7.x installer CD.
  5. Launch the 7.24 application.
  6. Authorize with your name and 7.x key code (found in your DP7 User Guide).
