The PCIe-424 system has the following system requirements.

Note: This technote applies only to 424 systems using the PCIe-424 card . For information on 424 systems using the original PCI-424 card, refer to the technote, "What are the system requirements for the PCI-424 system?"

For Mac OS X:

• PowerPC G5 Power Mac with PCIe slots or Intel-based Mac Pro is required; earlier Power Macs are not supported
• 128 MB RAM; 512 MB or more recommended
• Mac OS X version 10.8, 10.7, 10.6, 10.5, 10.4, or 10.3; v10.3.9 or later recommended
• Hard disk drive 20 GB or larger
• Available PCIe slot
• CD-ROM drive for installation

For Windows:

• Pentium CPU (or equivalent) 800 MHz or faster; Pentium III CPU or faster recommended
• 128 MB RAM; 512 MB or more recommended
• Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, or XP
• Hard disk drive, preferrably 20 GB or larger
• Available PCIe slot
• CD-ROM drive for installation
