Using sliced loops in BPM

BPM has three modes for loops:

  • Sample
  • Stretch
  • Slice

(For full details on each mode, refer to your BPM User Guide.)

If you have a loop which does not have slice data saved in it, load the loop in a Rack part and enable Slice mode: slices will be added automatically based on transients. If you need more control over the slices, drag and drop the audio file into BPM's Clip window, where you can change transient detection sensitivity, or slice the file on a grid instead.

Alternatively, you can slice loops in a program such as MachFive, Apple Loop Utility, or ReCycle.
